Red Chili Magnet

The Magnet climbing shoes from Red Chili are designed to balance performance and comfort, with the newly developed midsole playing a particular role.

The RC-Tension + midsole is made up of two interconnected midsoles: a well-supporting, rather stiff midsole in the forefoot and on the toes allows you to put a lot of pressure on small kicks. Another thin midsole runs the length of the foot, providing support but still allowing for sensitivity. Not quite a hard shoe, but enough support for really small steps.

The tried and tested Vibram XS Grip sole rubber provides great grip. Moderate preload, minimal downturn, and a pointed toe shape contribute to making the shoe comfortable and performance-oriented at the same time. The upper material is Lyliane® microfibre, a synthetic leather that is pleasant to the touch, lightweight, and allows air to pass through. The tongue is knitted from recycled material, it wraps comfortably around the foot.

The last of this shoe offers a wider toe box but with a little less volume than you might expect between the footbed and upper. The heel is snug and on the narrow side. It's a great option for someone with a wider forefoot who does't need the extra volume in the shoe. It is well suited for ambitious wall climbs, but comfortable enough for multi-pitches or simply everyday training in the gym. Defo a solid all rounder which should be popular with boulderers, sport and trad climbers!
