Scarpa Reflex
This super comfortable Velcro shoe is pitched as a Classic entry level design. If you are starting out on the climbing walls and hoping to progress up through the grades it will serve you well.
And when you’re ready to make the move to climbing outdoors, it will continue to provide you with a crucial, confidence-boosting level of support and performance.
Unlike more technical (read: painful!) rock shoes, the Reflex is built on a gentle last - something which your toes will thank you for.
The suede uppers are nice and breathable and the padded tongue adds a further degree of comfort. You’ll certainly be happy wearing them all day (the same is rarely true with more aggressive designs).
The double Velcro straps allow quick entry and exit; they also mean you can vary the tension across your foot to ensure a secure fit.
The soles are composed of a specially designed rubber, SSR1.0, which gives excellent durability, grip and edging support.
Rubber: SSR1.0
Fit advice:
The Reflex has a narrow fit with a low ankle cut and medium volume toe box. The shoe is constructed with unlined leather uppers, so you should expect some stretch as it breaks in.
We would advise dropping half a Euro size, or perhaps one Euro size from your normal shoe size. If these are your first rock shoes do bear in mind that they need to be fitted fairly snug - the term 'comfortable' being relative!
