DMM have really raised the bar on oval carabiners with their new Ultra O range. The bodies are hot forged with I-beam panels and the result is a super strong keylock carabiner with a major axis strength of 25kN and a minor axis strength of 12kN.
This is a great racking carabiner and is also good for aid climbing with a wide, 9.75mm rope radius that is kind to marginal gear. It is totally anodised with a gate that has rivet in a contrasting colour for easy recognition of the gate opening end.
It also works perfectly in pulley systems and locking versions are also available.
